ABOUT US

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation (PBCSF) is an independent, non-profit charitable organization that connects deeply with the communities served by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).  This 501(c)(3) was founded in 2010 by veterans, executives and community leaders dedicated to supporting law enforcement in Palm Beach County. Today the Foundation continues to be directed by a volunteer board of local leaders focused on complementing the policing strategies of PBSO and connecting private sector dollars with public safety solutions.

Law enforcement foundations are neither new nor unique.  Good law enforcement requires budgets that allow the purchase of next generation equipment and technology. Budgets are rarely adequate to protect at the highest level.

PBCSF serves as a vehicle for tax-deductible gifts and grants from individuals, businesses and foundations interested in protecting their communities.  As the only authorized organization to raise money on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, PBCSF provides funds to assist in acquiring the necessary equipment to help in the prevention, identification and investigation of criminal activity. More on Foundation purchases HERE.

The Foundation also provides financial assistance for deputies and their families during times of trauma and adversity.

Over the years, the Foundation’s focus evolved to invest more deeply in the Palm Beach County community, with a mission emphasis of community improvement and involvement. PBCSF is on the front lines of food drives, scholarship awards, mentoring and after-school youth programs. Working with PBSO deputies, we also mentor youth to pursue a career in public safety. More on efforts to support our neighbors HERE.

Palm Beach County is the size of Delaware, with a population of about 1.5 million residents and one of the largest Sheriff’s Offices in the country.  PBSO and the Sheriff’s Foundation respect the county’s diverse communities and work together to protect, serve and foster trust. Supporting the Foundation is a rewarding way to positively impact this county we call home.  Contributions are appreciated and tax-deductible.

DUTY

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation (PBCSF) was founded in 2010 by veterans, executives and community leaders dedicated to supporting law enforcement in Palm Beach County.

As then, the Foundation continues to be directed by a volunteer board of local leaders focused on complementing the policing strategies of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) and connecting private sector dollars with public safety solutions.

Over the years, the Foundation’s duty evolved to invest more deeply in the Palm Beach County community, with a mission emphasis on improvement and involvement. PBSO and PBCSF respect the many diverse neighborhoods and work together to develop relationships that foster trust. Duty

OUR OWN

We do not forget those who sacrifice daily for us. PBCSF provides financial assistance for deputies and their families during times of trauma and adversity.

MISSION SUCCESS

PBCSF is the only authorized organization to raise funds on behalf of PBSO and provides funding to assist law enforcement in acquiring the necessary – often otherwise unattainable – equipment and technology to prevent, investigate and prosecute criminal activity. Foundation purchases enhance deputy safety and better prepare deputies to combat against border incursions, property crime, vehicle thefts, school violence, and gang warfare.

Acquisitions have included: lightweight tactical gear and breaching tools,  micro-robot systems, underwater metal detectors, weapons and tripods, lasers and night vision equipment and license plate readers.

The Foundation also provides funds to purchase patrol, search and rescue, and detection dogs.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

SHERIFF'S YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Community Outreach
Sheriff's Youth

Local partnerships and families are our cornerstone. We strive to strengthen families and secure future generations. PBCSF addresses local concerns, initiates programs which tackle food insecurity, and sponsors educational field trips to expose young minds to science, nature and the arts. PBCSF also funds Shop With A Cop, the Explorers, and deputy-youth mentoring programs, which teach life skills and instill personal value.

As a charitable organization, we want to give back to the community. What better way than helping underprivileged students further their education? The Sheriff’s Youth Scholarship Program is committed to awarding scholarships to deserving students who have been nominated by a sworn employee of the Sheriff’s Office.
